PUIC Secretary General Meets Iran’s FM

TEHRAN (IQNA) – New Secretary General of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) Mouhamed Khouraichi Niass met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran Tuesday.

They discussed the missions of the PUIC aimed at strengthening unity and cohesion in the Muslim world and resolving the problems and crisis facing Islamic countries, ISNA reported.

The Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was established in Iran in June 1999.

It is composed of the parliaments of the OIC member states. It aims to introduce the sublime precepts of Islam and seeks to disseminate them while emphasizing the various characteristics and humanism of the Islamic civilization.
